About Founder and Promoter of Best Club

  • Dr. R. Arunachalam is the conceiver, planner, and executioner - in that inexorable order - and a man of many hats. He is the founder, promoter, and patron-in-chief of Best Club.
  • As an MBA holder, "Dr. R. Arunachalam worked with élan for over a decade to bring cheer to many by developing land for the landless and building homes for the homeless. In recognition of his social consciousness and humanism of international content, Dr. R. Arunachalam was awarded a Ph.D. by the Cosmopolitan University of the USA.
  • He has also served as the President of the BEML Society, responsible for distributing more than 10,000 sites to Bharat Earth Movers Limited employees across India and 5,000 commercial sites privately in Bangalore.
  • In 1992, the government of Karnataka chose him to be the chairman of the task force committee responsible for distributing 30,000 free sites to the poor and downtrodden. This was a record-breaking effort in the state of Karnataka by a single person who was not an MLA. Recognizing his service, he was awarded the Honorary Chevalier Award by France. A total of 45,000 sites have been distributed in Bangalore."
  • For his work, he has been awarded the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, the much-acclaimed Priyadarshini Award, All India Academy Award, Kaigarika Ratna Award, Nirvaga Ratna Award among others.
  • Dr. Arunachalam is also the President of the Karnataka Clubs and Resorts Association. Among the many strings in his belt, the most resonant is his brainchild, the Shakthi Hill Resorts, and the Best Club.

About Best club

  • Best Club is registered under the Register of Societies, and its board of directors is elected by its members. Dr. R. Arunachalam, who is not only the founder but also the driving force behind the club's imagination, creation, and execution with a long-term vision. Launched in 1990, Best Club is today a landmark in the City of Bangalore in R.R. Nagar Top Township.
  • The club offers independent, well-appointed cottages and luxury rooms for longer stays and restoration. It has facilities like separate swimming pools for ladies, children, and adults, a mini-boat club, tennis court, shuttle court, skating rink, billiards, and a multi-cuisine restaurant. The club has created more than 1,000 swimmers among children, hundreds of skaters and cricketers.
  • All the features that the club offers together go to make it indeed a club, where grown-ups become children, the old become young, and hearts grow softer and fonder. You begin to live in nature, pure and pristine. And as the mind slowly rarefies, you may even be pulled into a very serene man-made cave fit for meditation.
  • Best Club is one of the biggest clubs in India, situated in a very posh area, Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Mysore Road, with well-connected access to reach the Tamil Nadu boundary (Hosur) within 45 minutes and two hours to reach Mysore city. The club is just three kilometres away from the metro station and Mysore Road.
